A couple of things to keep in mind as we go into this busy holiday season; Our club and league season for 2011 is over. But you will need to think about the 2012 USTA season in early December. The USTA ratings were out on November 28. Team captains will be looking at those ratings, particularly at those who got moved up, and organizing their teams accordingly. Don’t sit back and wait to be called. Let your captain, me, or a tennis committee member know you want to play on a yacht club team. We can’t get you on a team if we don’t know you are interested.
We will start tennis activities in early January. As we have in the past, we will have free clinics on Sundays at 2pm starting January 8th.
This is planned for beginners (2.0 to 3.0) but anyone is welcome. Bring a potential club member to these clinics. Maybe we can get a new tennis player and club member at the same time. We also are planning a junior tournament to help them kick off their high school season. More details on both of these events next month.
